In El Calafate you can hire an entertaining walk through the city, passing through the most traditional places. Discover historical places and the corners of this wonderful tourist village with this 3-hour activity, ideal for the day of arrival or the day of departure. Be a part of the history of the place, contemplating El Calafate, with views of Lake Argentino.
We begin with a visit to Punta Walichu, an archaeological site located 8 km. from the town, which will show you the footprints of the first men who walked these lands. A walk along the eaves and caves will allow you to observe cave paintings (originals and reproductions) as well as an exceptional view of Lake Argentino and the Andes Mountains. The circuit also goes through the main streets of the old town, showing you the typical early constructions of the pioneers as well as the current civic center buildings.
