Activity SUITABLE for people between 18 and 50 years old, WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Live this once in a lifetime experience! Walk for 3 and a half hours on the Perito Moreno Glacier. Discover sinkholes and internal lagoons of the glacier, walk through the Patagonian forest and marvel at this incredible landscape.
This unmissable experience begins at the “Bajo de las sombra” Port, within Los Glaciares National Park. There you take a boat to cross the Brazo Rico, to the west coast. Once we have crossed, the guides will receive us to give us some details of the activity. In the shelter that is there, we can leave some of our belongings, as well as use the bathrooms. We will start the trail through part of the Magellan Patagonian Andean forest. After an hour of walking, we will arrive at the southern moraine of the Perito Moreno glacier, where we will access the ice. Once on the glacier, the world takes on a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep crevasses, huge sinkholes, magical caves, and the unique feeling of being in the center of the glacier. During the 3 and a half hours (approximately) of the tour, the guides will help us to better understand the ice and its surroundings. In this place of incomparable beauty, we will take our lunch (not included. You must bring your own food / drink). Being a demanding walk, on an irregular but firm surface, it can only be done by people between 18 and 50 years old, due to their physical level. Nor can pregnant women or people with reduced mobility, arthritis, prostheses, knee problems, menisci, overweight, or heart problems. Once back in the moraine, we will walk another hour through the Magellanic forest to take the boat back, which sails very close to the south wall of the glacier. You can also enjoy the view of the Perito Moreno from the catwalks: another way to see and appreciate its immensity. To end this day, we will begin our return to “civilization”, after having enjoyed one of the most spectacular ice treks in the world.
